Two careers, one question: how do people hold up?
From the psychology side, Adam earned a B.A. in Psychology at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology at Chaminade University, and he is completing doctoral studies in clinical psychology at the Hawaiʻi School of Professional Psychology at Chaminade. Along the way he served as lead evaluator on a CDC-funded overdose prevention project and as a research assistant on organizational wellness in Hawaiʻi’s nonprofit sector.
From the field side, he spent 21 years in the U.S. Air Force: eight in electronic warfare, then 13 in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), the bomb squad, where he rose to superintendent. He served in war zones and led a response team at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu. He saw up close what long pressure does to capable people, and what helps them keep going.
At Pegasus Realm, Adam leads the coaching, training and assessments, and builds the tools clients use between sessions, including the Pinnacle Wellness Assessment and the Castalia journal. His clinical training shapes how the work is built. The work itself is coaching, training and research, and it is not used for diagnosis or therapy.
He is also a photographer and designer. The landscape photos across this site are his.
